Standard Email Settings

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.socantel.net
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.socantel.net
Account Name: userid@socantel.net
Password: password

Under your mail account settings, please be sure to indicate that the Outgoing Server Requires Authentication.

Windows Mail Setup Process

1. Open Windows Mail.
2. In the Windows Mail toolbar, click on Tools and then select the Accounts... option.
3. Click Add... Select E-Mail Account and then click Next.
4. Enter your name in the Display Name box and click Next.
5. Enter your SoCanTel email address in the Email Address box and click Next.
6. Enter pop.socantel.net in the Incoming Mail (POP3 or IMAP) server box.
7. Enter mail.socantel.net in the Outgoing e- mail server (SMTP) name box.
8. Place a checkmark in the Outgoing server requires authentication box and click Next.
9. Enter your full email address (i.e. socan@socantel.net) in the E-mail username box.
10. Enter your password in the Password box and click Next.
11. Click Finish.
