Setting Up Outlook Express

1. Open up Microsoft Outlook Express, at the top of the window click on Tools and then down to Accounts...

2. On the Internet Accounts window, select Mail tab. Then click on Add and over to Mail...

3. On the Internet Connection Wizard window, type in your first and last name and press Next

4. Type in your e-mail address ( and press Next

5. On the E-mail Server Names window, enter the following:
  • My incoming mail server is a POP3 server
  • Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server:
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:

6. On the Internet Mail Logon window, type in the following:
  • Account name: Type in your username (do NOT type
  • Password: Enter your password you set up for your e-mail account
  • Check the box next to Remember password
  • Press Next

7. Congratulations! Click on the Finish button.

8. Upon being returned to the Internet Accounts window, press the Properties button

9. On the Properties window click on the Servers tab and put a check in the box beside My server requires authentication and then press the Settings button

10. On the Outgoing Mail Server window, make sure the dot is next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server, then click OK

11. On the Properties window click on the Apply button and then press OK

12. On the Internet Accounts window press the Close button

13. You can now click on the Send/Receive button to begin receiving e-mail
